FW and SW Design
BTP research is able to develop the Software and Firmware needed by its internally developed products, and
can also provide SW/FW design suport for external independent activities.
The expertise is mainly focused on real time embedded
systems and complex uP based units (ARM/PowerPC/x86) for
the management and monitoring of ASSP/FPGA devices with
SDH transport functionalities (LCAS/MSP/Path Protection)
and Ethernet transport and access functionalities performed
by Network Processor and Traffic Manager devices. We have
the capability to manage complex QoS, L2 and L3
protocols, OAM and mainly all the Ethernet protocols.
The team can also provide support for the FPGA and
Hardware Design validation and for production start up with
the development of manufacturing Test SW for both single
cards and full systems.
The team has also long experience with real time application involving the
most common OS (Linux included) and debug tools.
It also work together with the Power group for the definition and design of
FW needed by the motor control PIC.
